+To activate LabVIEW 2018 SP1 follow these steps:
+    - Create an account at [[https://ni.com]|ni.com]].
+    - Log into your account on ni.com.
+    - Under the account drop down menu select "My Products".
+    - Complete Your Account details.
+    - In the "Register a product" field enter the LabVIEW serial number found on the [[https://software.physik.fu-berlin.de|software server of the it service]].
+    - On the same page there should now be an entry for LabVIEW that has a button "Select Action". Click that button and select "Activate Software".
+    - On the computer that has LabVIEW installed open the "NI License Manager".
+    - Select LabVIEW and then "Activate Software".
+    - Select "Enter Activation Codes" in the bottom left corner of the window.
+    - Now back in the "Activate Software" browser window enter The Computer ID shown in the License Manager Window
+    - Fill out the rest of the form. Before selecting "Select the product that you want to activate." click once inside the field "Serial Number". The code for the next field will not load otherwise.
