While QHiMDTransfer and libhimd have become more and more powerful over the last months and we have gained knowledge about what is possible with the hardware and what not, it's time to make some plans for the first release versions of the software. Further tasks can be found in the tasks section and the page for GoogleSummerOfCode.

Here is what came to my mind:

• versioning support (see AutoUpdater)
• 0.1.0 released

• support for uploads on all HiMD Walkman via an input field for the root keys in the preferences panel

• make use of statusbar to display mountpoint and space-left/overall space of HiMD

• export tracklist to text-files (HTML or XML for example, Qt has XML-Support)

• add preferences dialog (display language; setting filename pattern)

• support for AT3/3+/PCM downloads on MZ-RH1 and MP3 downloads on all models
• support for deleting and renaming tracks

• support for grouping tracks
• support for drag-and-drop uploads and downloads

• support for NetMD downloads (all models) and uploads (MZ-RH1 only) with a new libnetmd (PortingNetMD)
• new name (rebranding) for QHiMDTransfer to reflect the fact that not only NetMD is supported
• overhaul of graphical user interface
• support to open backup images of HiMDs
• support to backup HiMDs to an image
• support to convert uploaded tracks from AT3/AT3+/SP to OGG Vorbis, AAC and MP3 and save them to disk (ffmpeg)
