Using direct printing on Ricoh printers on unmanaged MacOS machine
Using the printer
Please note, that printing to FollowMe will only work if either:
- connected from a University Network
- connected from Eduroam
- connected with ZEDAT or ZEDV VPN
Installing the printer driver for FollowMe printer
At first please install the FollowMe printer FollowMe on MacOS. This is needed for the printer driver!
Installing the printer
Open a terminal and type the command:
$ cupsctl WebInterface=yes
In a web browser (e.g. Safari) open the address localhost:631.
Now the selected printer is installed and can be used.
